I am a senior at Duke University studying evolutionary anthropology with minors in chemistry and religious studies. I have a strong interest in reproductive health, narrative medicine, and girls’ education. I strongly believe that our individual cultures and backgrounds impact health outcomes. Throughout my time at Duke, I have focused my coursework towards subjects that will enhance my understanding of the biological and sociocultural factors that impact health. Through my coursework, I’m gaining a better understanding of the ways demography, culture, education, and evolution can come together to inform best treatment practices. My goal is to be a highly skilled, culturally competent physician providing and enhancing healthcare for women and girls globally.
Outside of my studies I enjoy playing violin and guitar, baking (@oliviastinykitchen on Instagram!), art making, reading stories about women, and learning about art and design.
